HAIRSTON EDUCATION believes high-quality teaching is vital to student success and student success can only happen when learning is optimal. Therefore, we work with educators and school leaders to embed hands-on research-based professional development that upgrades the content knowledge and pedagogical skills of teachers and leaders.

They learn and solve problems together to ensure ALL students meet with SUCCESS. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
"Beginning with the end in mind!"
THE CURRICULUM INSTITUTE, beginning with a Summer Institute, is designed to immerse educators in the foundations of effective instructional practices, reviewing closely the curriculum they teach and the content the students are expected to learn.
Our mission is to build teacher capacity in order to create learning environments that raise the bar of expectations for ALL students through the incorporation of rigor, relevance and relationships, incorporating real-world activities designed to meet the individual needs of students.
Teachers learn about the importance of student engagement and are immersed in hands-on activities that model active participation and engagement. By the end of the Summer Institute, teachers leave with a broader knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment and alignment and how to effectively and intentionally design and implement a balanced curriculum and build engaging lessons.
In addition to the four-day Summer Institute, school districts have the option to provide teachers with year-long professional development, attending monthly workshops throughout the school year that focus on specific topics designed to strengthen their understanding and knowledge of effective instructional strategies, practices, and methods.
Teachers receive recertification points for their participation and end the school year with a deeper knowledge and understanding of how all the essential curriculum pieces fit together to ensure improved student achievement for every student.

HAIRSTON EDUCATION provides Instructional Coaching support that builds teacher capacity in order to create learning environments that raise the bar of expectations for ALL students. Through the incorporation of an Instructional Coaching Model, we strive to provide a continuum of services that build professional relationships between the coach and the teachers through common experiences and knowledge.
We will work with your school and school district to customize a coaching program that best meets your needs and provide individual teachers, grade level teams, and/or departments the one-on-one or small group support needed to take learning and teaching to the next level.

NEW TEACHER TRAINING
The New Teacher Leadership Program is a part of Hairston Education’s professional development training opportunities offered to teachers and school districts. It is a leadership training program for new teachers that focuses on equipping them with the skills, tools, experiences, and resources that support instruction, maximize student learning, and optimize teaching and development.
Our unique 360° approach is designed to engage educators in relevant, research-based learning sessions which assist in building and strengthening their classroom leadership skills, equipping them with the necessary strategies and tools to positively impact student achievement and transform learning environments.
